About the Photographer
I spend most of my time as a photographer and video storyteller capturing faces, business processes, and human interactions.
So landscape photography offers a different set of challenges. Because you can’t direct nature or coax it into a more interesting expression. You have to observe it, discover interesting compositions, and spend lots of time waiting for the light to surprise you. Over time, as with most things, the more you do it (sadly, I can now mark this time in decades), the better you get at finding what you are looking for.
My landscape images are only lightly retouched, to eliminate minor distractions, and gently developed, to bring out the light as it was on the day. My goal is to create images that are true to the place and time when they were captured.
Most of the images presented here are of Vermont, as that is where I spend the majority of my time. But there are also a few favorites captured from travels outside the state.
All cards are printed in Vermont.
