I spent an exchange year in college studying in Carmarthen, Wales. And when I went back to visit over three decades later, I stopped by the town of Llanstephan, a coastal village where we would often run off to when we were students there. The weather was astonishingly beautiful on this day and it felt as if the Norman castle, which overlooks a wide estuary, was striking an eloquent pose.
